How to Kill Your Family

Description

When Grace Bernard discovers her absentee millionaire father has rejected her dying mother’s pleas for help, she vows revenge, and sets about to kill every member of his family. Readers have a front row seat as Grace picks off the family one by one – and the result is as and gruesome as it is entertaining in this wickedly dark romp about class, family, love… and murder. But then Grace is imprisoned for a murder she didn’t commit.Outrageously funny, compulsive and subversive, perfect for fans of Killing Eve and My Sister, the Serial Killer.

Review

I was actually looking foward to reading this book and the build up was really great. It's written as a journal entry for a psychopath/sociopath on a revenge journey for her mother. Grace was having it right and telling us about the motivation and processes for murdering every member of her paternal family. Then suddenly (in my opinion), she started becoming clumsy; almost as if the writer realized halfway that she doesn't wanted her to win everything and introduced a character who in my opinion messed up the ending of the book. I'm trying my best not to give spoilers but I terribly hated how it ended. It destroyed all the excitement of the story for me because at the end of the day, there was no value for everything Grace went through.
