LVOE

Atticus

LVOE

Description

For the first time since he began writing, three-time New York Times bestselling author Atticus is inviting readers to take a look behind the mask as he embarks on a powerful journey inward in search of love, peace, and acceptance. His fourth poetry collection, LVOE, is a study into himself. Using his instantly recognizable lyrical style, gorgeous black-and-white illustrations, and relatable themes, Atticus will once again dazzle readers, inspiring them to also look within. This collection will feature all-new poems, each paired with beautiful sketches that bring the words alive from the page. An exploration of self-love, meditation, meaning, loss, and romance, LVOE is a look forward, a look backward, but most importantly, a look inward to the often confusing yet hopeful human experience.

Review

Poems, Epigrams & Aphorisms

It was poetry; as lazy as this sounds as a review that's just the feeling. I couldn't explain it even if I tried. I've always loved atticus and this was a feel good book an a monday that could have otherwise been annoying. I'll just drop some highlights 🥰. I'll also like to add that I enjoyed how the whole vibe of the book was designed

I knew then
that all the meaning of life
existed somewhere
in this meadow
and this girl
with a butterfly on her finger

"I love you more than chocolate," she said
And I just wasn't ready
for that sort of pressure

Never forget
you're worth the love they are not giving

A thousand times
a day
I love you
a little more
than I did
the day before

How dare you
dare me
to dare
fall in love with you

Destiny came knocking at my doorstep
and to be honest
she was rather rude

Sometimes I wrestle my demons.
Sometimes we cuddle.

FINDING HER
WAS REMEMBERING HER
FROM A THOUSAND
DIFFERENT DREAMS.

Be twice as powerful as you think you are

NOSTALGIA
IS THAT HAPPY-SAD WAY
OF LOOKING BACKWARD
IN SEPIA

You are all the ways my soul likes to dream

Life is the art of pretending to be normal

Poetry
is the place
where two
imaginations
touch

Vellichor
means
"the strange wistfulness
of used bookshops"-
and
it makes me smile to think
that such a word was thought
important enough
to exist.

Life is too short
not to always pretend
you're magnificent

I have a mind to frame the last one and keep it on my desk 😌
