Review
I usually don't book-hop but I needed this. This was by far my favorite poetry book/collection of the year and I had so many pieces I loved from it but I can't write them all here so you all will make do with the snippets here and look to my highlight, Bibliophilia 25 for the complete pieces. You might have to tap tap a likkle bit though š.
Well here they are
On the roadside mango tree
I have never found a ripe fruit
On the market pathway
I have never found a gold ring.
--
Yet fruits get ripe on the roadside tree
and gold gets lost on the market pathway
but like a good woman
another man finds her before me.
...
So we run, we run past life
but not all at once;
just a moment here
and a moment there
one day at a time
...
That if hell has no fury
like a woman scorned
a jealous husband's fury
is the fury of a thousand scorns.
...
So if you still lose wallets and keys
please don't shop for wedding rings.
There are other ones but they're too long and snippets won't help the context but also I'm lazy š¶āš«ļø, so to instagram we go š.
